During Mike’s time as Chair of the Board we have seen enormous growth at Power To Be and he has been integral to the important advances we have made.

He has tirelessly given his time and resources to the behind-the scenes work in helping move our mission forward. His ability to juggle a million things as Chair, manager, mentor and confidant with humour, candor and creativity has helped us through many important decisions.  A famous activist once said, “Wisdom is knowing what to do next; virtue is doing it.” Mike has proved to be both wise and virtuous.

Mike consistently steps up outside of the boardroom to support Power To Be in whatever way he can, whether that means networking with major donors in the community, steering a canoe on program, or getting his hands dirty trail building at our Prospect Lake site.

Chairing the Board is one of the toughest volunteer roles of all and Mike’s approachable demeanour, passion and natural leadership fostered collaboration at all levels of our organization. He helped build a valuable, thriving board that will continue to steer Power To Be in the right direction for years to come.

Mike, as you look back on your time as Chair, please know that our achievements over the past three years would not have been possible without you at the helm. Thank you.
