Whether on a trail, in a kayak, or in a bowling alley, you’ll find Julia supporting Power To Be participants wherever we go. Since 2017 Julia has given her time, energy, and heart to supporting the inclusion of everyone in nature. As one of the incredible program volunteers in Vancouver she has supported on just about every kind of program offered. From disc golf to bouldering, kayaking to snowshoeing, and big canoe to hiking she brings dedication and a smile to every program she is part of.

Currently attending school with the goal of achieving her Masters of Physical Therapy, Julia has a passion for challenging herself and shares that drive with the participants on program. She has quickly become a fixture of the volunteer community in Vancouver and has connected with countless participants, supporting them and learning with them. Connecting with participants and hearing their stories has built some of her favourite memories with Power To Be.

Julia’s positive attitude and willingness to go wherever adventure calls make her an incredible volunteer. Whether supporting a hiking group through a downpour in Stanley Park or teaching university students about inclusion in Capilano Regional Park, she is always prepared, engaged, and ready to say yes. We are so grateful to have her as part of the volunteer team and look forward to many more adventures!

Thank-you for all that you do, Julia!
