Glenn joined the Power To Be volunteer team in 2014, bringing with him a set of skills that would support not only our participants, but our staff and volunteers too.
As a professional bird photographer, Glenn can hear a bird singing from a kilometer away—and then tell you exactly what bird it is, what type of habitat they live in, and what their migratory patterns are. He has led workshops for staff and volunteers about bird identification, taught us some tips and tricks for bird observation, and even co-facilitated our Nature Photography Program this October and November.
Glenn always approaches programs with a smile, a calm presence, and a willingness to help in whatever way is needed. I have been lucky enough to work with Glenn on many programs, and seen firsthand the compassion, patience, and kindness he shares with everyone on program. Seemingly effortlessly, Glenn provides a safe space where everyone feels welcome to learn and ask questions.
When Glenn isn’t volunteering for Power To Be, he spends a lot of his time in the outdoors, as well as creating some really cool furniture in his woodworking shop.
Thank you Glenn for all you do, all you are, and all you bring to our Power To Be community. We are so grateful for you!
