Power To Be staff share experience of paying it forward

What I know for sure is that what you give comes back to you. This was experienced by three of Power To Be team members recently when we decided to give back to our community and create a bonding experience for our office-based staff by cooking a meal for families staying at Jeneece Place.

Envisioned by Jeneece Edroff, and owned and operated by Children’s Health Foundation, Jeneece Place is a beautiful home-away-from-home for families that have a child getting medical care at Victoria General Hospital.

“A delicious, healthy and lovingly-prepared dinner goes a long way to supporting tired and hungry Jeneece Place families after a sometimes very difficult day at the hospital,” says Christina with Jeneece Place. “Thank you for coming to make and share yummy tacos here. Families really appreciated them!”

We made a taco salad feast and then sat down to eat with some of the families and listened to their powerful stories of unconditional love, resilience, and the trials and tribulations they have experienced.

It was truly an honour and a privilege to be invited into this warm and loving home. It was an experience that we were humbled by and will never forget.
