Power To Ski 2017 hits the Monashees to celebrate giving back and time spent in nature

The powdered snow glistening in the sun at Monashee Mountains was a spectacular sight in early April as skiers took to the slopes for the sixth annual Power To Ski.

“We’re grateful for the opportunity to play outside, while bringing people together in support of our programs for participants,” says Tim Cormode, Power To Be Executive Director. “After time on the slopes, the evenings were filled with engaging conversations about Power To Be’s new program hub at Prospect Lake, where we just signed a 25-year lease.”

Hosted by Mustang Powder, Power To Ski featured two days exploring freshly powdered terrain, and three evenings amongst friends. The 35 supporters from across Canada donated more than $10,000 toward Power To Be’s inclusive adventures in Victoria and Vancouver.

“I’m proud to be a part of what Power to Be has created and shared because of it,” says supporter Mark Halliday. “There is no better feeling than giving back by given’er!”

From all of us at Power To Be, thank you to all of the generous skiers/boarders and the great team at Mustang Powder for making Power To Ski possible. Your support helps us redefine ability and inclusion through our nature based adventures. We look forward to next year’s trip!
