35 teams. One goal.

On Sunday, May 28 at Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park, 35 teams from Victoria’s business community competed in the charitable race Power To Play Victoria, presented by TD. The event raised $223,000 in support of Power To Be’s programs.

“Thank you to racers, volunteers and our supporters who made Power To Play a resounding success for Power To Be,” Dana Hutchings, Power To Be Director of Advancement and Communications. “Community support makes our programs possible because everyone belongs in nature.”

This event aims to push racers outdoors and outside of their comfort zones. The race challenged Power To Play team members to redefine what they believed they were capable of. As teams of four, they ran, climbed and paddled through roughly 10 kilometres of challenges while relying on team communication and co-operation. Throughout the race, participants learned about Power To Be and how the non-profit makes nature accessible.
