Coast Capital Savings supports local youth and families

Since 2007, Coast Capital Savings has invested a total of $80,000 in the Wilderness School, contributing to its consistent growth and impact in the community, each year.

Wendy Lachance, director of community leadership for Coast Capital Savings, said the credit union supports Power To Be Adventure Therapy’s Wilderness School because it helps youth learn about leadership, develop life skills and discover their abilities.

“Coast Capital Savings is committed to helping build a richer future for youth,” said Lachance. “This is the fifth year we’ve supported Power To Be Wilderness School, and by investing in programs like this we can help inspire youth to make a difference in their daily lives, whether it’s at school, home or out in the community.”

As of this September, the Power To Be Wilderness School has operated for seven successful years and continues to support a growing variety of youth from the Capital Region District, who could benefit from extracurricular activity and social support in the multi-year program.
