Damith joined our team as the Systems Administrator Intern in February of this year to complete a 6-month internship for his Master’s program, and he has settled right in as a core member of the team. He chose to work with Power To Be for his internship because he loves the mission-based work that we do. He is passionate about getting out and exploring the outdoors with his wife and three kids when he is not busy working on his Master’s degree or supporting Power To Be.
With his background in information communication technology and project-based work, Damith was a natural fit for the role. His enthusiasm to support the Facilities and Assets and Systems departments with his spreadsheet wizardry and big-picture mentality on how we can consistently improve and set ourselves up for success has been a huge asset to the team. There is no ask too big or small for Damith – he is always happy to help.
We appreciate how Damith shows up every day with a huge smile on his face with an energy that is contagious. He loves being at our Prospect Lake site, finding it to feel more like a vacation than a workday, and our team loves having him there too!
