Building skills and creating positive outdoor experiences by removing barriers to nature.

Our inclusive adventure programs create new possibilities in nature for those who face a barrier. Through a variety of different programs, we focus on skill and community building through activities like hiking, paddle sports, rock climbing, camping, and more.
See below for a breakdown of what we offer.

Who is it for?

Our programs are open to individuals as well as community groups (organizations in the community working with a similar population).

We base participant suitability of our programs from a NEED/FIT/DESIRE model. Learn more below to determine if our programs may be a good fit for you.

NEED: Goals & Barriers
→ Has a self-identified barrier(s) that make connecting to nature without support difficult
→ Has needs that are not met in other programs in the community; there is a lack of other opportunities

FIT: Attitude & Eligibility
Has a positive attitude towards inclusion
→ Has respect for the natural world
→ Has respect towards rules and boundaries
→ Is age 7 or above
→ Is independent or will come to program with the required support

DESIRE: Commitment & Nature Connection
Has a level of commitment to program expectations (attendance, on-time, communication etc.)
→ Has a desire to participate in nature-based programs

How much does it cost?

With the support of our community, all of our programs are subsidized, minimizing cost to individual participants. Most adventures start at $15, with costs subject to change based on type and length of activity. Bursaries are available if cost is a barrier.

What activities are offered?

Camping, canoeing, adaptive hiking, indoor climbing, kayaking, paddleboarding, snowshoeing, and more!

Progressive Programs

Registration is for all 3-4 sessions as we will be building on knowledge learned in the previous sessions. Activities can include paddlesports, rock climbing, hiking, and overnight camping.

Through our Progressive Programs, we offer age-based cohort programs (children, youth, adult) which focus on social and outdoor skills.

We also offer Family Programs! These programs help to build skills and create capacity for families to participate in activities independently.
