Andy - participant, father, joke teller, inspiration
Andy and his daughter are regular participants in our Acquired Brain Injury Program, where families in which a parent has a brain injury are able to get out and hike, rock climb, camp and enjoy the outdoors. Andy loves the way that the Power To Be staff "get it" - and he can be in an environment where he doesn't have to do anything but build a positive relationship with his daughter.
Ben - participant, student, leader, peer mentor, poet
Ben is in his 3rd year at the Wilderness School. He is from the Tsawout Nation and in grade 10. Ben has a great sense of humour; he is a skilled hiker and rock climber, goes to scuba camp every year and enjoys writing poetry. Ben is a natural leader and through the skills acquired in the Wilderness School he is able to achieve employment doing what he loves to do best - working with kids and in the outdoors.
